Canada Day 2012

This year, over 20,000 participants helped celebrate our nation's 145th birthday at Bower Ponds in Red Deer. The International Food Court featured delectable menu items from around the world including the Philippines, El Salvador, Ukraine, China, India, Germany, Denmark and Sweden. The afternoon lineup of dancers, singers and theatre from various local cultural groups is a beautiful manifestation of Canadian multiculturalism and pride.

The evening concerts featured Ariane Marhyke-Lemire, The Jacobson Four, It's Time!, and Fun in the Front Seat. As usual, the evening was completed by a majestic fireworks display. This is but a brief summary of the fun to be had at Red Deer's one and only Canada Day Celebration brought to you annually by the Red Deer Cultural Heritage Society.
