3500 square feet, not including the basement, which was added in the 1970s when the building was moved to its current location.

Yes, and yes! Find our full menu on this website on the Cronquist House page, under "Tea House." Find news of upcoming Victorian Teas on the Cronquist House Facebook, and on the Cronquist House Events Calendar.

Is the Cronquist House wheelchair accessible?

The main floor of the Cronquist House, out of which the Tea House operates, is accessible via a ramp on the north side of the house. To maintain the building's integrity as a Municipal Historic Resource, we are unable to add a restroom to the main floor. There is a wheelchair accessible restroom near to us, at the Bower Ponds Pavilion. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Who puts on the Canada Day Celebration in Red Deer?

The Red Deer Cultural Heritage Society does! The RDCHS has been putting on the Canada Day Celebration since we began in 1969. Join us on July 1, 2019 to celebrate our 50th birthday, and the 50th anniversary of Red Deer's Canada Day Celebration!

Who are the food vendors at the Canada Day Celebration?

All of the food booths are run by nonprofit organizations, representing some of the many diverse cultural backgrounds present in Central Alberta. Note: We do not feature any for-profit food trucks at the Canada Day Celebration.

What is going on onstage?

The RDCHS does not operate the stage near the Cronquist House at Bower Ponds. The stage is under the operation of the City of Red Deer. We suggest checking the Red Deer Community Events Calendar.
